Pom Pom Wreath

Materials
- Yarn
- I used 3 different balls of yarn from my stash, for a white winter theme. Any yarn will do. Use as many or as little colors as you like.
- Pom Pom Maker
- I used 2 different sizes, found here. You can use different sized pom pom makers or just one.
- Ribbon
- I used .5 inch wide ribbon. I wrapped my wreath in ribbon to hide the bare foam material, and used a bit more ribbon for a bow. You can use as much or as little ribbon as you’d like, or omit it altogether.
- If you’d like to add a bow, using ribbon with wired edges will make it easier to keep its form.
- Wreath
- I used this foam wreath. You can find these in many different sizes/materials — make any size you’d like.
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Instructions
This is less of a pattern and more of a free-hand project. Below are the steps I took to make my PomPom Wreath, followed by some helpful video links.
- I wrapped my wreath in ribbon, so that the foam would not be exposed. (See video below for more information.)
- Instead of tucking in my ribbon ends, I left a long tail at the beginning and end of the ribbon, and used it to tie the bow after I finished wrapping my wreath.
- You could also separate the wrapping and bow steps, and glue the ribbon to the wreath at the end.
- I made 21 outer poms, and 16 inner poms, of various sizes and colors.
- I glued each pom individually onto the wreath, making sure the exposed tie was trimmed and on the glue side.
- Hang your wreath and enjoy!
